The PE Academy will host two workshops in September of 2023 where we will apply the Methodology for Developing a Performance Measure. During each of the two sessions we will use the methodology to develop initial content for two performance measures. Please register and join us for one or both sessions!

Why?

Whether you are brand new to Process Education or a seasoned veteran, participants indicate they find these sessions to be highly valuable. They say things like: “I really learned a lot”. “This was enjoyable!” “This process makes a lot of sense now.” “Will there be more of these sessions?”

It is often hard to quantify how well people perform complex skills. In this workshop, we address how one can define a level of performance that is rich and meaningful without oversimplifying and without breaking things down to the point where the essence of the overall performance is lost. Holistic performance measures include a short description of what high quality performance looks like in action, a list of the most important factors affecting quality within the performance and sets of statements illustrating what quality looks like at 5 levels of performance. The result is a document providing inspiration to grow one’s skills no matter what one’s current level of performance is.

Preparation

5-10 minutes - Review the context for this workshop (pages 1-5) and the methodology (page 6) for developing performance measures that we will be using.
5-10 minutes - Review the format for what a completed measure will eventually look like. An example is attached. 5-10 minutes
2 minutes - Write out any questions you may have about the mentoring skills book project, the methodology, and/or what is contained in a final measure.
