What engaged or excited you most about learning when YOU were a student?

As a student, I became most engaged when I could fully comprehend the content being presented by my teacher or professor. Additionally, when the "light bulb went off", I was quite excited during a course or lesson.

I believe, as a student, my instructors planned intentionally which made learning a wonderful experience. The relationships and interactions encouraged me and supported my decision to become a teacher as well.

I know our work must be thoughtful and deliberate. For this reason, I pride myself on being a life-long learner. The research I engage in presently is reminiscent of my desire to want to assist peers through tutoring, colleagues by mentoring, and my students through direct instruction. All these efforts have me engaged and excited about learning and imparting knowledge to others.
