What engaged or excited you most about learning when YOU were a student?

I have fond memories of escaping to my elementary school library to read American history books, and still have a passion for learning about the history not only of this country but Europe and Asia. As I moved into my college years the most engaged, I have been is when learning hands on. Did a stint at the School of Art Institute in Chicago and loved being in the studio under the watchful eye of a gifted teacher. Also loved experiential learning in groups in grad school in psychology in the early days of T-groups and encounter groups.
